The State of Maine is known for its picturesque backdrops and the lush green forests. You can also find maple syrup, lobster and clam chowder (But I would rank them in that order). It is called the Pine Tree State; nearly 90% of its land is forested.
Maine is also known for the gorgeous coast lands. These coastal areas are dotted with lighthouses (Over 60 lighthouses!) and the jagged rocks only add to the beauty of the place. During late September as the temperatures start to drop there comes a change to the heavily forested northern areas. Fall colors begin to show in the trees. As October arrives the fall foliage colors, push south and east.

Soon it will arrive at the feet of Mount Katahdin and then on to Camden where if you hike (or drive) to the top of nearby Mount Battie, can look down on the harbor and town of Camden.
